For this WPT season, the Borgata Poker Open Championship final table will be live-streamed instead of recorded for television and the 2019 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship will be televised instead of live-streamed. There will still be plenty of face time in front of the cameras.

Another revision to the past setup will be the location of this year’s Borgata Poker Open events. There will no longer be the long hike up to the Event Center to play your tournaments. For this series, we are opening the Poker Tournament Zone for this series, an area conveniently located between the Poker Room and Signature Room with quick access from anywhere in the casino and only a short escalator ride to The Marketplace Eatery. This is a temporary adjustment and we will soon be back to business as usual in the Event Center.
We look forward to seeing our locals and regulars back in action while battling against the best the poker world has to offer.

Wenhao Ying – 1st Place – 2018 Borgata Fall Poker Open ChampionshipWenhao Ying is a 24-year-old grad student who recorded his first tournament cash just over 2 years ago. He’s mostly self-taught, learning the game by watching training videos online. Those videos must be very good because he held the chip lead most of Day 3 and went wire-to-wire here on Day 4.
He warmed up in the SixMax first, finishing 5th for $8,420, against some of the best players in the game. He did the same at this final table, up against some of the best and he held his own.
For his efforts in this event, he will collect $200,000* and take home his first Borgata Open trophy. This is his first reported tournament win, but certainly won’t be his last!
